Hi All!
I decided to try blogging again this year, every year, I think this is the year I’m going to make it to the end of the year, and then I flop somewhere before June!
So I made that first post, and someone commented that they do mostly newsletters anymore. That stuck with me because, yes, so do I! With the death of my beloved RSS feed gatherer/reader, I have mostly signed up for newsletters and have stopped reading blogs unless they send email updates when a new post has been made.
So let’s try this newsletter style for 2023 and see if I can keep it going. Like the blog before it, it’s going to be a mix of book reviews, mostly for my various book clubs and reading challenges, and not everything I’ve been reading this year. If you want to see that list, I’m over on The StoryGraph - https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile/litjrzygrl.
I’m also going to include more of the ‘& Stuff’ with some of my writing, like when I do the write-ins or small writing challenges. Also, some other stuff like things I’m cooking or any fun trips I may partake in over the year.
If you decide to follow, welcome…I’m also asking if you see me slacking off on sending issues to yell at me! They will be coming out randomly!
(stealing this part from Lisa)
What I’m currently reading:
Spare by Prince Harry - listening to the audiobook while walking so this is gonna take me awhile
Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor - This is a book for the recommendation challenge and was suggested by Meredith
Into the War by Italo Calvino with Martin McLaughlin (Translator) - this one might be used for the library’s challenge, but I’m not sure yet. I read one of his books as an undergrad and have always wanted to read more of his stuff.
